Blue Dogs — honest, true… but not always obedient

We are a political organization that advances the interests of rural and working-class voters.

We are a home to past Trump supporters — and likely some present ones. We doubt Trump’s claims that he has our interests in mind. We question his authenticity. We increasingly question his autocratic-leaning actions, words and decisions.

We adamantly advocate for representatives who are voter-first, not party-first. That means pursuit of local interests, even when they oppose national party interests. Dissent is fine and compromise OK. The U.S. is a democracy. Interests and views are allowed to be different.

Republican legislators — both national and state — are now overtly subservient to national party leadership. While they talk about rural and working class interests, we believe those are just empty words. Their real interest is consolidation of power at the national level at the expense of local autonomy.

Although we’re conservative, our position stands closest to the Blue Dog Coalition of the Democratic Party. In the Trump-era, there is no home in the Republican Party for anyone except MAGA supporters, so the Democrats are all that’s left. We support the most right-leaning patch of the Democratic Party we can find. The name of this sliver is the Blue Dogs, which is our name Blue Dog Hub originates.

We are working to put a LOT more Blue Dog candidates in the 2026 election. Conventional Democrats can’t win in our districts. That gives room for right-leaning working-class candidates to run. A Blue Dog candidate give voters an extra conservative candidate to vote for in 2026. We feel MAGA-Republican legislators have forgotten who puts them in office. It’s time they were reminded of it — by voting them out.
